Michael Erickson
Mike's career in music began as a far from punk rock as one could get. He was born to sing. He began his musical career with musical theatre and had even performed in the opera classic Carmen, in his earlier years. As a youngster his focus shifted to an appreciation the aggressive yet melodic nature of punk rock. Mike became entrenched in the punk rock scene, attending show after show. He was a huge supporter of local acts and the local scene and was devoted fan and supporter of Edmonton punk rock legends Choke.
Mike took his passion for punk music and the local scene into a passion for creating music. He quickly picked up some skills on the guitar and began writing personal acoustic songs, as he had become a fan of acts such as The New Amsterdams and Dashboard Confessional. Mike’s performances were we’re mainly private performances until fate led to a meeting between him and Matt Shostak and Russ Goosen. Matt and Russ who had previously formed a band were looking for a new singer. In invitation presented and after only one rehearsal Mike was asked to join the band.
