GREG

Greg Shostak

It all began at Edge-fest 2000 and blink-182. After being awe-struck with the performances of the bands, and the sheer energy of the crowd, Greg was inspired to take up music. His instrument of choice being the guitar, he bought a hand-me down from a friend, and made it his obsession. Over the next year, talk of starting a band was afoot, and along with Matt Shostak(on bass), and Russ Goosen(on drums), the unheard of band that could not decide on name (we’ll just call them The Roy O’Bannons) was born. Although it was short lived, it gave Greg a taste of what being in a band is all about and later on lead to the birth of radioforhelp.

His taste in music ranges from punk, to rap, to everything in-between. Although he loves all genres of music, his inspiration is mainly drawn from bands like Third Eye Blind, Taking Back Sunday, The Goo-Goo Dolls, Funeral For A Friend, and A Static Lullaby. Being a self taught guitarist for only 4 short years, Greg has become a skilled guitarist, and looks forward to the limitless possibilities that he and radioforhelp have on the horizon.
