Talent? Charisma? A sense of humour?...some would argue that these are Radio For Help's strengths, but they don't have time to rest on their laurels. They're too busy working to win over new fans, media and critics, one concert and one song at a time.
Radio For Help has it's sights set on taking their local success to the national stage. Over the past 5 years, the band has developed their unique modern sound by meshing pop punk with late 90's rock. One might compare their sound to a game of Olympic Freeze Tag where Jimmy Eat World and The All American Rejects square off against The Gin Blossoms and Goo Goo Dolls (Don't worry we're not really sure who would win either).
Coming off the success of their second album Hereafter, which made them a standout and radio favourite in the Edmonton market, the band's third release "You Don't Wanna Miss This" is sure to be their most intricate and addictive album to date. With the intent of creating an album that could measure up to major label releases, Radio For Help spent months writing and recording the album with powerhouse producer Randor Lin. Then they had the album mastered by one of Canada's finest: Joao Carvalho. The end product is a mature album of contagious songs that are simple and sticky enough to hook the everyday listener and yet intricate and witty enough for most selective music critics.
In addition to several Canadian tours and a few major festivals, Radio For Help has played alongside top Canadian and American acts such as Alexisonfire, Anberlin, illScarlet, State of Shock, Stereos, The Midway State, Tokyo Police Club, Sloan, Suzie McNeil and more.
